For example, the contact method can accurately measure the real temperature. Among the high temperature thermocouples, precious metal thermocouples are expensive and the measurement temperature can only be below 1800 ℃, while tungsten rhenium thermocouples are not only of high temperature limit, but also of good stability. Therefore, tungsten rhenium thermocouples are widely used in metallurgy, building materials, aerospace, aviation and nuclear energy industries. China is rich in tungsten resources, and tungsten rhenium thermocouples are cheap, which can partially replace precious metal thermocouples (platinum rhodium thermocouples). It is a very promising temperature measurement material in the field of high temperature testing.

Its use temperature can reach 2800 ℃, but when it is higher than 2300 ℃, the data are dispersed. Therefore, the use temperature is suitable for about 2000 ℃.

Tungsten rhenium thermoelectric dipole is easy to oxidize, so it can be used in inert or dry hydrogen, or it can be used only when it is isolated from oxygen by a compact protective tube. It can not be used in carbon containing atmosphere (for example, in the atmosphere containing hydrocarbon, if the temperature exceeds 1000 ℃, it will be corroded). Tungsten or rhenium can easily form stable carbides in carbon containing atmosphere, which will reduce its sensitivity and cause brittle fracture. In the presence of hydrogen, it will accelerate the carbonization.

The specifications of molybdenum tube and tungsten tube are: diameter is Ф 6, Ф 8, Ф 10 mm, length is 500-700mm, this thermocouple can only work in the environment of vacuum, reduction or inert gas protection for a long time, molybdenum tube is suitable for long-term use below 1800 ℃, short-term use temperature can reach 2000 ℃;

Another is tungsten protection tube. As for tungsten tube, it can work for a long time at 2100 ℃, but it is difficult to process, which makes its price very expensive.
