Characteristics and identification method of low smoke halogen free flame retardant wire

What are the characteristics and identification methods of LSZH flame retardant wires?

We don't know about LSZH flame-retardant wires at all. Many people only know about wires, but few of them know about wires for different purposes. So if we want to know LSZH flame-retardant wires, we must first understand the characteristics and identification methods of LSZH flame-retardant wires? The specific answers are as follows:

The purpose of each kind of wire is different. That's because it has the characteristics that other wires don't have. So before we buy low smoke halogen-free flame-retardant wire, let's first understand the characteristics of low smoke halogen-free flame-retardant wire.

1. The tensile strength of low smoke halogen-free flame-retardant wire is larger than that of general PVC wire: the tensile strength of general PVC wire is greater than 1.05kgf/mm2, while the tensile strength of low smoke halogen-free wire is greater than 1.2kgf/mm2;

2. Characteristics of low smoke halogen-free flame-retardant wire: good weather resistance (- 30 ℃ ~ 105 ℃); good softness (hardness 80-90);

3. Characteristics of low smoke and halogen-free flame-retardant wire: non migration (because plasticizer is not added in the formula of this product, there will be no migration); no toxic black smoke will be generated when burning (a small amount of white smoke will be generated); high volume resistivity: PVC wire is generally 1012 ~ 1015 Ω / cm3, low smoke and halogen-free wire is more than 1016 Ω / cm3; (7) good high voltage resistance: PVC wire is generally 10K resistant V above, and low smoke halogen-free wire up to 15kV above; (8) has good elasticity and viscosity.

What is the identification method of LSZH flame retardant wire?

1. Product name identification method for identification method of low smoke halogen-free flame-retardant wire. Wires - LSZH flame retardant polyethylene insulated wires and cables; cables - LSZH flame retardant polyethylene insulated LSZH flame retardant polyethylene sheathed power cables. In general, the names of imitations are a little different, such as polyethylene insulated low smoke halogen-free sheathed flame-retardant power cable and so on.

2. Skin burning method for identification of low smoke halogen-free flame-retardant wires. There should be no obvious depression when ironing the insulating layer with electric iron. If there is a large depression, it indicates that the material or process used for the insulating layer is defective. Or use a lighter to barbecue, which should not be easy to ignite under normal conditions. After a long time of burning, the insulation layer of the cable is still relatively complete, without smoke and pungent smell, and the diameter has increased. If it is easy to ignite, it can be determined that the insulation layer of the cable is not made of low smoke halogen-free material (most likely polyethylene or cross-linked polyethylene material). In case of large smoke, the insulating layer is made of halogen-containing material. If the insulation surface falls off seriously and the diameter does not increase significantly after a long time of combustion, it means that the proper irradiation crosslinking process is not carried out.

3. Hot water immersion method for identification of low smoke and halogen-free flame-retardant wires. Put the core or cable in the hot water at 90 ℃, and the insulation resistance will not drop rapidly under normal conditions and keep above 0.1M Ω / km. If the insulation resistance drops rapidly or even is lower than 0.009m Ω / km, it means that there is no proper irradiation crosslinking process. (polyethylene or cross-linked polyethylene insulation materials are not suitable for identification by this method, and can be identified by the method in the second article above).

4. Density comparison method for identification of LSZH flame retardant wires. The density of LSZH material is higher than that of water, so a little insulating layer can be peeled off and put into water. If it floats above the water surface, it is certainly not LSZH material.
